Donald E. Brown was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended local schools, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. He received his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1981.

From 1981 to 1986, Don worked in the State Attorney's Office in the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit (Brevard and Seminole Counties) as a prosecutor. During his tenure with the State Attorney's Office, Don prosecuted cases ranging from murder, capital child sexual abuse, DUI manslaughter and drug trafficking.

Don joined the Zisser law firm in 1986. He practices in the area of family law, criminal defense, personal injury and real estate litigation. Presently Don represents two of the largest homebuilders in northeast Florida, handling only their litigation problems. Don has developed a reputation in Jacksonville as an excellent litigator and he has seen his client base expand year after year, primarily as a result of his clients referring friends and family members to him for legal assistance.

Although the time demands on his practice are significant, he is able to spend quality time with his wife and two daughters. This firm has always prided itself on recognizing that our members' commitments to their family is just as important as our commitment to our clients.
