That firm would later be known as Zisser, Levy & Brown.
In 1970, Barry gained the title of Assistant State Attorney, all while expanding his firm into Zisser, Robinson, Brown, Nowlis, Maciejewski & Cabrey, P.A.. Over the decades, Barry devoted his time and energy into his practice. His dedication paid off by the numerous honors he has been given, including the Beth Shalom, Man of the Year Award.
Barry was elected by his peers to be a MASTER of the Florida Family Law Inn of Court and was elected as Vice President Emeritus of the Inn. In addition, he was honored by the Inn as the 2005 recipient of the prestigious Rudy Hernandez, Florida Family Law American Inn of Court Advocacy Award, presented to him as the outstanding family law attorney of the year.
Barry is extremely active in community affairs. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Omni Federal Credit Union, the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Alliance of Jacksonville, the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation, and the Board of Directors of the Southeast Region United Synagogue. Barry also served as President of Beth Shalom Congregation and was designated as the recipient of the Yo-Etz Award, an award designated to provide a lifetime membership as a member of the Board of Directors of Beth Shalom Congregation in Jacksonville, Fl.
Barry is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He still assists the other lawyers in the firm in civil cases as well as criminal cases.
In his spare time, he and his wife enjoy spending time on their boat and vacationing. They also spend as much time as they can with their grandchildren, who also share his same sweet tooth. Barry and his wife can be seen enjoying watching the Jaguars, baseball or Gator Basketball games.
